SunGarden®was proud to be a part of the 23^rdannual Cooking on the Square event.  Members of the SunGarden®team where present serving up a Sprouted 15 Bean Cajun Chicken and Sausage Soup as well as our favorite Stir Fried Mung Bean Sprouts.  Cooking on the Square is the signature fundraiser for Putnam County Habitat for Humanity.

The event raised approximately $83,000, which assisted a family in purchasing a Habitat home at 0-percent interest. The local Habitat for Humanity is in process of building the West End subdivision, where 52 Habitat homes are planned.

Putnam County Habitat for Humanity officials dedicated the group’s latest home in August, which is the seventh in the West End subdivision.

The local family is expected to purchase the 11th Cooking on the Square home. Habitat partner families must have a reliable source of income since they purchase the home with a zero interest mortgage. Qualifying families must live in substandard, poor or overcrowded conditions, with family, or pay more than 30 percent of their income toward housing.
