Titan Bin Rotator

A heavy-duty rotary actuator lets one operator empty a 3,000 lb grow bin in minutes instead of by hand, with a one inch load-in height and continuously welded stainless construction.

What it does

The ISS Titan Bin Rotating System lets growers unload and process bins safely in minutes. It handles Sentrex Systems bins and Infinity type bins. A heavy-duty rotary actuator does the work, and because it is a rotary actuator rather than a chain and sprocket arrangement, it starts and stops without hesitation or lurch. That matters when there is a ton and a half of wet product in the bin.

Why growers put this in first

Emptying grow bins by hand is the slowest, wettest and most injury prone job in a bean sprout facility, and it is the one that quietly sets the ceiling on how much you can run in a shift. A bin rotator removes that ceiling. The load-in height is one inch, so a pallet jack or forklift gets the bin in without a ramp or a lift table, and hold down push button operation means the machine only moves while the operator is deliberately holding the button.

Why this matters for food safety

Sprouts are grown in warm, wet conditions, which is exactly what a pathogen wants, and the FDA treats them as a covered commodity with its own rules under 21 CFR part 112, subpart M. Equipment that can be taken apart and cleaned properly is not a nice extra in that environment. It is how you pass an inspection and how you keep a recall from ever starting. Continuous welds are the detail to notice here. A stitch welded frame leaves seams that trap product and water, and those seams are what a swab finds.

Where it sits in the line

The bin rotator is the handoff between growing and cleaning. What comes out of it goes into the Wash System or across the Vibrating Huller, and then on to the Cyclone Centrifuge System for dewatering. The complete line is laid out on the Sentrex Mung Bean System page.

Talk to us about your line

Every sprouting operation is laid out differently, so sizing this machine is a conversation, not a catalog lookup. Tell us what you grow, how much of it you move in a week and what the room looks like, and we will tell you which configuration fits. Call (800) 277-7688 or send us a note and we will get back to you with specifications, lead time and installation detail for your situation.
