Sprouts Unlimited Voluntary Market Withdrawal of Clover Sprouts

January 2, 2020 Confirming our commitment to food safety, we would like to make the public aware of a voluntary recall of clover sprouts. Sprouts Unlimited of Marion, IA, has issued a voluntary recall of clover sprouts from the market.  The sprouts were grown using our seed lot SCL2-9AX.  Samples have been taken of the sprouts in question as well as the seed used. At this time there has been no confirmation that the seed lot or the sprouts were contaminated with E. coli or any other pathogenic bacteria. Although this lot was not purified using our new state-of-the-art technology, we are confident that our documented, best-in-class food safety processes safeguarded the integrity of this product.  We are awaiting further tests to determine if a withdrawal of the clover seed from the market is necessary.  In the meantime and out of an abundance of caution we recommend customers discontinue using SCL2-9AX.  We are shipping our customers replacement seed while we await test results.  If the seed is confirmed to contain pathogens we

International Specialty Supply Donates Thanksgiving Dinners

On a dreary and rainy Saturday November 23rd the staff at International Specialty Supply (ISS) along with kids part of the highlands initiative "Teens Need Training" where warm inside playing laser tag and packing up Thanksgiving dinners for families around the Upper Cumberland region.  For the past 3 months the staff at ISS has been taking up donations for this day.  "We were able to pack up over 20 bags of food, each containing a complete Thanksgiving meal." said Silas Stoddart Marketing Director "These meals will be donated to the Council of Americana Roots Music and they will distribute to families that would otherwise be hungry this thanksgiving."  The initiative took place with not only a goal of feeding families but incorporating a group of children and show them how little deeds can make a difference.
